UPWARD Basketball

Today was our first basketball game. To update anyone who doesn't know, Ammon is playing basketball through a program called Upward and I am coaching Ammon's team. Upward is a faith/spiritually based basketball program for youth Kindergarten (age 5) to 8th grade. Anyway, our friends the Colemans have a son, Mitch, who is in 2nd grade and Ammon played Mitch's team this week! They were both sooooo excited to play each other, and actually got to guard each other in the first half of the game. Here are a few short clips from the game.

Mitch guarding Ammon....way back on the court. The ball is actually right up under the basket at this point in the game =0)

Ammon chatting with Jack and then trying to make a break for it to get away from Mitch.

I am having a blast working with these kids! Thursday after practice, Ammon said "Mom, you may not be the best coach, but you're the best for me!" That made everything worth it to me! What a great kid!
